A little bit of kindness goes a long way

Late last year, the Nexus Care team received a heartwarming letter in our mailbox from Phil, a Fresh Start Food Program client who was given a Christmas Hamper in addition to his regular food parcel.

We wanted to share Phil’s beautiful letter with you. Take a read below:

We are often inspired by the resilience of the people who walk through our doors. What inspired us the most about Phil was his spirit of generosity despite being in a time of need:

"What a pleasure to give chocolates to friends who assisted me during the year. What gratification in giving some of the food to those in greater need that me."

As Phil said, "The spirit of Christmas is not dead." What an honour it is to make that a part of our legacy at Nexus Care.
