But if you’re facing significant hardship and already struggling, Christmas can magnify the difficulties.
In 2025, 33% of Australians experienced food insecurity. That’s 1 in 3 households that have struggled to afford enough food daily. Hundreds of local Brisbane families are going without the basics; a safe place to sleep, food on the table, a support network of friends or family & meaningful, sustainable employment.
Nexus Care is looking to raise $40k through our Christmas Giving Appeal to cover the increased demand on our programs we experience during November-February each year, our busiest time of the year.
