Available to anyone experiencing hardship, our food parcels have been developed by a nutritionist and are designed to create a number of meals to support a family. Each generous parcel includes quality, nutritious non-perishable items, fresh fruit & vegetables, meat, bread and dairy products.
A 3-month Fresh Start Program membership costs $7, which entitles people to one parcel a month, for three months. Program membership also provides access to an optional hands-on Cooking Class Course to help people learn how to make easy, healthy and delicious meals using basic ingredients included in our food parcels.
Parcels are available to be collected Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10.00am and 4.00pm at 151 Flockton Street, Everton Park.
We are thankful and proud to regularly include donated fresh produce from FoodBank, Oz Harvest and SecondBite. Majority of our bread is donated by Woolworths North West Plaza and Woolworths Chermside West.
Additionally, local families regularly donate exceptional home-grown produce - including honey!, Nexus Church members often contribute to the various staple ingredients and Next Steps Kindy join in our Christmas Appeal.
We have a wonderful partnership with Share the Dignity who donate sanitary items three times a year, which we distribute. In December they provide "It’s in the Bag" handbags filled with treats which align with our annual Christmas Appeal and are handed out with our Christmas hampers.
