At Nexus Care, our heart remains the same… to generously give hope and dignity in the midst of immense hardship, empowering locals to find a FRESH START.
Our End of Financial Year Appeal is Nexus Care’s major annual fundraising event, raising vital funds to take us into the year ahead and expand our capacity as the needs of our community continue to rise.
We’re mindful that in the last 12 months, with rising costs of living, demand for our food relief service alone has increased by almost 40%. People who never thought they would need relief and career mentoring support are reaching out to us. It’s our goal to ensure that Brissie households experiencing hardship and needing support, can find it with ease and dignity at Nexus Care.
This year, we’ve delivered an average of 455 parcels each month, assisted over 80 guests through Career Coaching and supported 336 households with emergency financial relief. We’ve had the honour of hosting over 160 guests at our Community Connect events and provided over 2 MILLION meals since we began.
Behind all these stats and achievements is an individual or household in need, and it is an honour to come alongside so many locals this year. We see the most vulnerable people in our city and your donation allows us to continue being on the frontline to meet immense hardship, with hope. We are so grateful for your partnership and the impact it has in our community.

This DA would see a multi-use building added At Closeburn Country Garden.
This building would provide opportunities for broader community engagement through Nexus Care’s support programs on site and a space to better engage with the needs of the local community.
